bumps on a onepass ticket?
I'm on a EWR-MEX flight next week using my dad's onepass miles and he's elite gold. Anyway I was curious is this flight is ever full and if so is it worth putting my name on the volunteer list to be bumped? Now another question. If you pay for the flight with onepass miles can you still get an upgrade or voucher out of it?

How 'bout giving us the specific date and flight number so we can take a look at the load on Galileo? Or better yet, do it yourself.
As for your bump inquiry, if your question is, "Can I get bumped on a OnePass reward flight?", the answer is yes, you can. If the question is, "Should I volunteer for an overbooked flight?", only you can answer that one given the importance of getting to your destination in an expeditious manner and the amount of the compensation offered. flight 1970 on 8/5

My Interpretation is Revenue Management is holding back F/C - If you volunteer you would probably get moved up front rather than receive a free R/T |
moved up to first class?
does my dad being gold help at all? and is it a full flight? |
My feeling is that since CO is so stingy with reward seats, the only way to get a reward seat is on a flight which is half empty. Therefore being bumped on an award ticket is an impossibility. Unless of course you are paying double miles.

really?
so even if they're overbooked which as of now looks like a posibility i can't be bumped? |
realdude here is your PBT (passenger booking total for that flight.
First Capacity 14 Booked 7 Coach Capacity 141 Booked 169 This aircraft is overbooked by 21. On reward tickets just like said before the general rule is not to upgrade you to first but it soely depends on your gate agent just ask them and see what happens. Inside CO Ewr is not seen as a friendly place but try anyway. This flight has a low now show factor and I am not sure why it is booked over its authorization so it is a possibility you could get bumped. To keep that from happening make sure you have a seat assignment. |
jeez its that overbooked already?
sounds like a great time to volunteer. I'll make sure to do so. I don't want the upgrade as much as a voucher or a free hotel in newark or something. Since it's the last flight out of EWR to MEX I think I'd have to be put up. Or go through IAH which may work. Any ideas or tips as I don't have to be in MEX on that date and I'm very flexible. And lastly, does the ticket being bought with gold miles help at all? |
