Quick Ques re Term B-C Xfer at IAH

I haven't been to IAH in over 15 years so please bear with me. I will be flying COEx from DFW to IAH and want to transfer over to Terminal C to meet a client arriving there and visit the President's Club. Can I change terminals behind security? I will not have a connecting boarding pass to another CO flight. Thanks!

No need to reclear security. Just look for the People Mover monorail to terminal C. It is between the piers for B76-83 and B84-88.

The terminal maps on CO's website are quite helpful.

Watch for signs directing you to Terminal C and TerminaLink. You'll have no problem at all. The trip between Terminals B and C on TerminaLink takes less than two minutes.

Thanks so much for the guidance! Now, more importantly, any good places to eat lunch at IAH?

Best choices are in Terminal E. Pappadeaux (on the upper level, above the gates, look for stairs/elevator between E4 and E5) has a pretty good seafood lunch buffet and good food on the menu with table service. There's also a Fox Sports Bar on the other end of Terminal E. Everything else in that terminal is counter service, food court style, but still the best choices in the airport for that kind of food. Terminal B does have a Chili's, which is better than some of the other choices.

E can be accessed from C without reclearing security using TerminaLink or by walking through the C south concourse.

The new Terminal E

All kinds of good places to eat, and the new PC. Easy walk from C.

Well, you could go to

Pappa's

or

Pappasito's

or

Pappadeaux

all in Terminal E.

I always thought that was kind of a weird coincidence; is a big-wig at Westfield named Pappa or something?

Just a quick word of warning:

I was told by an FA last Sunday that the train shown running from B to C on the south side (near B-67) does not exist.

That's not a train - it's a shuttle bus. It's listed on the map as "transfer shuttle," and it does exist. I see it running every time I'm at the airport.

I'd still take TerminaLink over the bus if just doing a B-C/D/E transfer. It's much faster. The bus mainly exists because the DL and Colgan codeshare flights operate out of Terminal A, which does require leaving the secured area to transfer to from the other terminals, unless you take the bus.

The Pappas Brothers run all of these restaurants. All of these have normal locations outside of the airport in various cities throughout the country!

Whatever it is, the FA said that you can't get from B to C on it. Just repeating what I was told...

No harm, no foul .....

Just take the TerminaLink. Very easy, do not leave secure area, even have a flashing Yellow Light by both entrances / exits, though I wouldn't say you can't miss it, because you can. That said, there is a relativelly steady stream of people going this way.

You cannot get from B to C/E via bus from B67. There was a shuttle bus when the terminal link stopped at C. Now that terminal link goes from B to C to International Arrivals/D/E, the bus service has been terminated. There is still a bus operating from B67, but that takes folks to Terminal A, where the Colgan flights depart out of.
