Continental Vacations ... upgrades?
By my reading of the rules, if you book a vacation package through continental.com, then you are not eligible for an upgrade. Is this a rock solid rule? (i.e., has anyone been upgraded in such a situation?) Applies to both domestic and BF upgrades.
This summer, we turned down the EWR-NRT promotion because they would not consider us for upgrades (miles + $400/segment). I think one would be eligible for BF upgrades with the current EWR-HKG promotion? (seat availibility might be another thing). |
last Dec I booked a Cool Vacation to IAH-Las Vegas and I and my wife were upgraded both ways(Plat and Gold respectivly).I did have to call the Elite line and have them import my reservation which I did when I was arranging my seats prior to any plat elite 72 hour upgrades.

I was EUA'd to/from Cancun on a "COOL" Vacation. They even did the Gold companion upgrade for my brother, who was flying from another starting point, connecting in Houston with me.

On those "bulk" tickets, EUA is applicable but generally there will not be any mileage upgrades permitted. We regularly use Site59 packages (which is where CO goes for some of its vacation packages) and always get the EUA.
|
If you have a published fare class, you are eligible for an upgrade. Priceline and consolidator fares are not eligible for miles or upgrades, I believe. . .
We used Skyauction and were upgraded both ways from IAH to CZM. |
Thanks, all.
