I generally fly DEN-IAH, IAH-EWR, and IAH-various business destinations and almost never see empty FC seats. On the other hand, I recently flew IAH-LAS (not a prime business destination) return and there were FC seats empty in both directions. I suspect that PBI is a leisure route, with relatively few elites.

Silver on CO by default (still lingering from last year, now a Gold on two other airlines, and happy with it), I have not gotten a SINGLE upgrade on the following two CO routes I have been flying repeatedly:
PHX-IAH-PHX
PHX-EWR-PHX

Not once, zilch, zero. I have made sure my status appears in the reservation, names match, all that goos stuff, still never happened.
As a Silver and then Gold on AS and NW upgrade level is 98% so far...

Resume: I understand other Silver/Golds frustration with CO EUA, and that why I switched.

Only in the summer, Bonehead. Other times of the year, the platinum weekly commuters, A-fare business travelers, and well-to-do tourists make EWR-PBI one of the toughest upgrades in the entire CO system.
