Rediculously full flights

Perhaps its just me but..

In my last 10 or so flights I have noticed that every single one has left completely filled with no empty seats to speak of.

In fact over the weekend 3 of my flights were oversold and took volunteers.Bodes well for CO if this is the case systemwide (which I am sure its isn't)
Anybody else experience the same?

fly co to see the yanks Jun 16, 2003 1:33 pm

my flights have been pretty full but i realize that i am a sample size of one.

CO 2037 09Jun03 RDU-CLE was overbooked by 2 and this was a 10:35 AM departure (not exactly peak time). That's the only CO segment I've had this year and one of maybe 3 overbooked flights I've been on this year.

All my recent flights, which have mostly been to London have been full or almost full too. I think it could be a result of CO's schedule trimming, pushing all the people onto fewer flights.

But as FCOTSTY said, I'm also a very small sample!

Murphy's law... BumpMe! wants to be bumped, but always ends up on flights that say:
A9 D9 F0 Y9 K9 H9 V9 Q9 S9 T9 U9 L9

Doh!

I see no real trends...

30 May, CO1841 SEA-IAH: Redeye. Half full.
30 May, CO772 IAH-YYZ: Maybe 30% full, but the SARS scare was on.
4 Jun, CO1080 SEA-EWR: At least 80% full.
6 Jun, CO1227 BWI-IAH: scattering of empty seats.
6 Jun, CO778 IAH-SEA: oversold.

Ditto here but not only for CO, my flights on HP have been similar.

One benefit on international is that suprise upgrade to BF for Platinums when coach is oversold. I had that returning from London last year.

Hopefully, CO is generating enough $$$ from these full flights to make a profit, or at least break even.

Aeromexico has flown some crazy routes of late.

ABQ to ABQ seems like a sure bump!!
