Send a note to onepass- Don't change program

I encourage everyone to send a note to onepass DISCOURAGING any changes in the FF plan to accommodate the new code share. LEO at DL *******ized the program and may put pressure on CO to dilute our program. I just hope that Gordon keeps his testicular fortitude when discussions about this occur with DL.

I am gold with both, but no longer fly DL. If you know email addresses of “upper” mgmt who are decision makers, please post those so that we can let them know how we feel.

This is really important as onepass will change unless we make it known how we feel early on.

Just sneak over to the DL board to see how bad it can be.

Thanks!

Reed

Gordo doesn't seem like the type to make concessions, his bargaining line:
We're CO, we're the best. You should be kissing my @$$ for considering letting you join our alliance. We run a better airline, with less losses than you, so we'll decide what to cut from onepass, not you.

Can you post a few bullet points summarizing the DL changes, or reference a topic to look at? Thanks.

start here: http://www.coralreefproductions.com/...milesflyer.pdf

only credit 50% miles on less expensive fares, cut the upgrade scheme by more than 60%. Mileage segment upgrades go from 800 mi to 500 mi and purchasing them with mi.s or $ now costs double.

got rid of unlimited upgrades for platinum and only give 4 500 msu's for gold

Let me talk from experiance. I have been DL Plat for about 3 years and CO Gold for just as long. The changes were announced in December to the DL program and that was my last flight on DL. I have always liked the way CO treats their FF but was unwilling to give up the instant confirmation of first class upgrade on DL. December made up my mind in a hurry. I would hope CO doesn't give in to any pressure from teh alliance and keeps the program intact. I already have made Gold and will certanially make Plat. I have changed my alliance to CO in hopes of some stability in the program. Not to bash DL, but I for one think that was a pretty harsh business decission but it made me make the change to CO and I for one am much happier on CO.

Went from Silver Medallion on Delta to dirt then to Platinum (2 years running) on Continental

My original decision was made based on commuting patterns and the value of 4 limited 800 mile segment upgrades available at the time.

The most recent round of reductions at Delta should scare the #$%& out of everyone here on Continental - What value is twice as many rewards if they are going to take you 2- 4 times as long to earn them.

Most of us are not spending our own money and cannot choose a higher fare to qualify for the additional miles or upgrade possibility.

If the price is the same we can usually adjsut our schedule to the carrier that provides the most benifit for our immediate flight and future traveling. - The whole intent is to create brand loyalty for a competitively priced product.

We need to speak loudly and quickly

Or face the choice of deciding which one will emerge (American or United) and be prepared to vote with our butts by moving them to another carrier's seats

IINM, didnt the DOT mandate that the FFPs not be readjusted between DL and NW/CO?

I am with mcoyle. I took my last flight on DL in early Feb. No more!! I had a few AM runs and also got 1/2 MQM's for those flights. The bad thing is that AM is doing the same thing with it's Club Premier. I guess I have to go fly MX when in Mexico. As far as the rest, CO takes me everywhere I need to go in Mexico , Central and South America and I love the unlimited upgrades, even though I only made lowly Silver because of a pesky contract with AA at my employer's.

I am a big fan of BF on IAH-GRU: better than UA, AA and DLcrap!!!

Keep on with CO guys!!!

I am in the same boat as the others. I flew my last flight on DL (Gold) last December, I swiched to CO (Gold) and have been very, very happy. If CO follows the ways of DL where will I go next? I guess I can always go to AA or HP, but I hope it does not come to that.

DL would be getting a MUCH bigger outcry over these latest changes if they hadn't ALREADY run lots of people off around 1999 with LUser fares. They had already established pre-eminence as the most hostile program to people with any % of activity on lower fares, and the latest changes really cement that position.

I think it's clear that DL needs to show Leo and that clan the door. Bad news and layoffs come out of DL daily, and all those big-ego guys can say is how much worse it'd be without their expert guidance and how their big salaries and pensions must be protected or they'll leave. Let 'em. In fact, fire them first; they haven't performed. DL needs to do what CO did in 1995 and, like CO, a new Delta management should make repairing SkyMiles a first order of business.
