Orphan Mile Question
 

I have 40,822 Miles on America West their award chart says I can redeem them for NW travel

I have 322,326 on Continental and building

Both web sites indicate the miles can be used on Northwest

Suppose I ould locate an award at 60,000 miles can I use up the remaining balance in my America account and compete the transaction with 19178 Continental miles ?

I'm sure you couldn't Dave! You can redeem your HP miles AT HP for NW travel...but you have to use HP miles! And, you can redeem your CO miles AT CO for NW travel. But HP won't take CO miles, and CO won't take your HP miles.
