Hey Zipper,

Why do you think September?

As a former Delta Medallion - I really do not want to see it happen.

We cannot have our cake and eat it too -

Yes you can actually redeem a trip on Delta for the "reasonable rates" however you cannot get a domestic upgrade or even full metal prenium for the fares that we have to fly QT LU -

I believe that this "alliance" should be completed as early as the end of Feb, possibly till the end of March.

Coz it took UAL and US Air several months to work things out... but DL is not on par with NW and CO's FF programs (as far as tier reqmnts) so things like that will need to be ironed out. I don't see things like that being worked out until later this spring.

Last week, Gordon said in his weekly voicemailt o CO employees that CO will not accept the terms laid down by the government in their approval of the alliance, and that in CO's view the government has overstepped the boundaries established by law in making those requests.

He said that CO was going to pursue this in court and try to get the conditions overturned. So, CO is not immediately making plans to go forward with the alliance, and the timing will flow from whatever happens in the legal arena.
