Lifetime Elite
Does CO or any airline offer lifetime elite anymore? I heard CO did it at one point when the member had something like 5 consecutive years of a certain elite level. Anyone know anything about this today?
Thanks, Craig |
Gone with the wind about 7 or 8 years ago when many of us (present company included) looked down our noses at such things as Continental Lite and had jumped ship for a few years until the resuscitation brought us back too late to have qualified.
There are some of these Infinites hanging around this board and if you do a search, you'll find most of the details. |

AA offers the easiest wasy to get to lifetime status: 1 million miles earned any way (including Visa charges) gets you lifetime gold and 2 million miles gives you lifetime platinum. UA and DL also offer lifetime programs, based on actual miles flown.
None of these offer lifetime status in their top level - as CO did with their infinite elite. |
For AA - is this 1 million miles at one time in your account, or cumulatively earned over the life of your account?!
|
cumulative.

if anyone can earn 1 million 'flight' miles in a year on one airline i think we should take them out to dinner...

Good challenge. To fly 1,000,000 miles a year from CO's domestic hubs, you'd have to be a weekly commuter on:
Newark - Sydney Cleveland - Jakarta (that's a long RJ flight!) Houston - Colombo, Sri Lanka |

If and when there is a way to convert CO miles to AA miles at a 1:1 ratio, can I earn lifetime elite by transferring 1 million OnePass miles for 1 million AAdvantage miles? My guess is AA will start to place restrictions on the lifetime elite program if they eventually become aware of the ability to transfer other airline miles into AAdvantage miles at a 1:1 ratio. |

Deleted, as I answered my own question.

Ok, if there is a way to convert all my OnePass miles into AAdvantage miles at 1:1, someone please share the details. I am a bit shakey when reading the Starwood website.
Thanks! |
Deleted due to redundancy.
