Continental codeshare with Delta

If the codeshare aggreement gets approved for CO NWA and DL, do you suppose NWA will accept my miles if Continental is forced to liquidate all their assetts in their potential bankruptcy filing?

I think that we all know the answer to that question.

Where on earth have you heard about CO liquidating?

It's like the guys on the Yahoo stock boards. bwi-ff has registered recently, and only posts unsubstantiated speculation about CO going bankrupt.

I wouldn't give too much credibility here. I bet he thinks if he repeats it enough, it becomes fact.

Untrue jerimyz. I have sold off ALL my continental stock. I only wish I had sold my UAL and MEH stock in time. Continental will crash hard. (stock)

Believe it!

To answer the original question, unless NW is purchasing the assets of CO as part of the theoretical liquidation, then no.

IMO, this may be the time that flequent flyers get burned. Both UA and US are 50/50 on surviving Chapter 11. Who is going to buy the assets if the fail? Aside from the UA pacific ops and US east coast shuttle, what is there that can't be fixed by a surviving airline simply recalling laid off workers and pulling mothballed aircraft from the desert? What incentive is there to purchase the FF accounts? The accounts brought no revenue, and only bring a liability. Since airline competition will nearly cease to exist shortly (especially if the "Axis of Evil" alliance is approved), why give captive customers any incentive to try and fly for free?
