AirTrain
Hello
Has anyone here tried AirTrain? I am in NY and will be going to EWR this month. I know that I go to 34th Penn Station. Do I just buy the ticket there? Do I buy NJ Transit or Amtrak? I just need some informations about this. Thank you |
Try this previous topic that I posted a while ago when I went to NYC. Airtrain is pretty easy to use.

Thank you very much
I have learned a lot from there. |
Budget: Take bus to NJ Penn Station ($1.50) & Train from there ($3-4 I think).
But the $11.55 much cheaper than the $36+tolls+tips [$50-60] for a taxi. If you are arriving/leaving very early (around 5-6 am), there may not be too many trains. If you e-mail me your travel times, I can copy part of the NJ Transit schedule. -------------------- My brother's flying in this weekend, so I sent him this: Sat: EWR -> NYC Penn Station (10/27/02 schedule) 4:46 am -> 5:16 am (Notice 50 min gap until next train) 5:35 am -> 5:57 am 5:41 am -> 6:03 am 5:53 am -> 6:16 am 6:08 am -> 6:30 am 6:26 am -> 6:50 am If you use the Train, pick up a schedule in NYC Penn Station to double-check the times for your return Monday morning. (a) Cab to NYC Penn Station (b) AirTrain to Newark (c) Airport Monorail to Terminal C Took me 1 hr to get from 39th to the airport gate. Mon: NYC Penn Station -> EWR (10/27/02 schedule) 4:47 am - 5:07 am (* very safe) (1 hr gap until next train) 5:46 am -> 6:06 am (* should be ok, probably would be at Terminal C by 6:15 am) 5:52 am -> 6:12 am 6:23 am -> 6:44 am (too late) |
