Interline E-Ticket Agreements
 

Which Airlines does CO have an interline e-ticket agreement? (not for CO codeshares put for pure non-CO metal/flight numbers can CO ticket an itinerary).

KL - apparently not. Booked a codeshare flight on KL, they said it had to be paper-ticketed, and KL wouldn't even check me in for the CO flight, which meant a stop at an AMS transfer desk that I didn't have time for....

(BTW: never schedule a one-hour connection in AMS. That airport can take half an hour to walk accross, so a slight delay in an inbound flight can force you to run like a bat out of hell.)

Were you flying from elsewhere in Europe to AMS? I recently learned that for most flights within the EU, there is a limit of 20kg on luggage, with extortist fees beyond that. But if AMS is just a stop, that fee shouldn't apply, as far as I can tell. The real question is what happens if you're flying into AMS on KLM from elsewhere in Europe, then switching to another carrier (say, CO) for the flight back to the States. If this was your experience, pls let me know if you can shed any light on how they handled baggage allowances.

I assume they'll extort you when you check it in. So if you have to pick it up and recheck it, then you'll be coughing up the bucks. In any case, you need to check it when you leave Europe, and you'll certainly get nailed then.

On the other hand, I don't know, since I had hand luggage only, which came in handy on at least two of the four segments of that flight (cancelled flight on the inbound, and again with the tight connection).
