Eite Miles On New Years
 

CO has a BF sale for the end of the year. You must leave by 12-31-02 and return by 1-8-03. If you leave on a 12-31-02 flight that arrives on 1-1-03 will your elite miles post for 2002 or 2003. And of course return after the new year. Thanks.

I've been told by the OnePass Service Center that the date of departure determines the period for which the miles are credited. (I called to ask the same question.) So, if you arrive on 1/1/03, you should still get '02 elite mileage as long as the flight leaves on 12/31/02.

what do you mean "or?" is it your choice somehow?

thanks. I wanted the miles for 2003 and this would have been good mileage run material with cheap bf. You are guaranteed bf, and you get the 50% elite mile bonus. I gues I'll hope that they do it next year if I am short.

But, I'm done for this year. Only will fly must trips. That is why I think CO should role over miles and/or segments once you obtain the highest level to the next year. Keeps you flying.

i thought with a lot of these cheap BF deals around the holidays that CO doesn't give you the 50% elite bonus.

1) The first flight counts toward 2003. The second after 2004. It is when they are FLOWN.
2) You DO get the paid BF bonus on these fares. The rules say "paid" and non consolodator etc. I have flown 4 of these this year, and have gotten the bonuses.
