Continental Select 2002-2003 New Program Mailing Arrived

I got my invitation to join the "Select" program for the second half of the year.
Not as generous as last year.
Program runs from 10/1/02 to 3/31/03. Here are my goals and awards--
Fly 14 trips, receive 56k
Fly an additional 2 (total of 16), receive an additional 10k
Fly an additional 2 (total of 18), receive an additional 12k
Last year my goals (full year program) were 24 roundtrips for about 250k miles.
Same restrictions as last year--Q/T excluded, all else counts.

I've never received one of these. What is your status / travel patterns / fare class?

Platinum - 65K so far this year.
About 2-3 RT tickets per month.
Usually buy about 14-21 days before trip, fare basis is usually K,B,V. Most tickets I buy are between 350-450. My company hates when tickets are above 600.00

Got one last year - at the lowest tier - I have switched my business in August Since I aleady hit Platinum for the next year.

Perhaps I will be profiled for a decent one this year to "win me back"

Looks like they have the usual TurQuey exclusions again - The 250,000 level (which I could have easily earned) didn't - the measly 42,000 that I was offered did.

BTW it took almost three months of correspondance and calls to get mine straightened out - due to an accidental posting of Q & T and double reversal of the bonus

I know they are targeted - but when calling to get included you need the promotion code - anyone care to share ?

Gosh I get so ticked off when I hear people getting these elite promotions for flying 3 or 6 r/t's for silver/gold. I tried to get their platinum promo since I have been a real gold elite and they so i am not eligible. What the heck? I emailed them and said if I stop flying them next year completely and utilize my AA PLT benefits if they will then reconsider. Still awaiting reply from CO. Any ideas on how to get my account eligible for this, or what to say to OnePass?

HI all ..

I got this same offer about a year ago .. however, thus far -- have not seen anything post for it.

I, too, recieved this offer on Friday ---

has anyone else gotten credit from last years offer?

FC_Dave Sep 8, 2002 9:28 am

Got the lowest level last year = made it a cinch to qualify then they accidentally posted supplemental credit for TurQuies and double reversed the hole thing -

The worst part was the statement where all the activity occured was never on-line, had to recreate the activity in excell to prove they owed the last two bonuses 12,000 miles

ron mann Sep 8, 2002 8:40 pm

16 rt - 64k
2 more rt - 10k
3 more rt - 18k

total 92k for 21 rt

mauld Sep 9, 2002 5:00 pm

Got it in the mail today:
Between 10/1-3/31/03:
15 r/t = 60,000
18 r/t = 85,000
21 r/t = 93,000
To take advantage of this offer, call 1-800-346-6090 by Sept 30 and provide your OnePass
account number and Promotion Code12009
Not all flights qualify: The program is valid for paid round-trips and/or one-way tickets booked in any published fares, excluding Q & T. Round-trips will be calculated as one credit towards your goals and a one way ticket will be calculated as a half-credit.

All:

My Select levels are the highest of this thread:

Level 1: 26 trips/104K miles
Level 2: 30 trips/20K add'l
Level 3: 35 trips/30K add'l

total possible: 154,000

Last year's were ridiculously high, with 40 trips (80 segments) being the first threshold.

I'm Gold after several years of Platinum

From my perspective, Select has been too high to achieve; AA (I'm Platinum) has made me similar offers in first quarter and third quarter this year with much more reasonable threshholds (though the fare classes were Y, J or F).

What are everyone else's elite status who are receiving Select offers and how do they map to the tiers?
