Getting Exit Row seats using E-checkin
I was always under the impression that you can't get an exit row seat using the electronic checkin machines at the airport. That said - I just did a couple of trips this week, where I WAS able to...they displayed the list of rules - and I had to indicate that I agreed to them - but I got the seats... ...is this a new feature? Is it available to everyone, or just use elites? |
Sounds OK to me, maybe someday they'll enhance us with electronic evacuation. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Once the seats have been released to airport control, bulkhead and exit row seats are available to everyone. You don't seriously believe that CO would do anything special for Elites who aren't paying full Y fare??? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

I recently checked in at IAH using the kiosk several hours before a flight. The seat map showed the exit row seats as available. When I chose a seat there, another screen came up with the rules for sitting there. I believe I checked a box stating I was ok with that and the boarding pass was issued.
