Seat Assignment on 737-800 (Mid-Lav)

Hi-

CO screwed up my seat assignment on a flight from SAN/EWR. Via CO.com I assigned myself 14C (Plat Exit Row). Fortunately/unfortunately my pleasure trip turned into a business trip (with additional segments added) and through all the reticketing I lost my Exit Row Seat.

Looking at the seat map I was able to snag 7C -- but then noticed it was right in front of the mid-lav.

I still can grab 12C or D (limited recline).

Inexperienced flying on the mid-lav -800.

Any advice.....

Option A) Stay put?
Option B) Grab Row 12
Option C) Hoping for the UG -- but F only has 2 available and I'm 13 days out.

Thanks for your input.

Jim

Given the other choices, I would -- but I would prepare myself for bumps and crowds during the flight.

I would if I wanted to sleep. I'm not sure about the timing of the flight, but something you may want to consider.

There are somethings in this world that don't amount to a hill of beans, so, here's looking at you kid. :(

You forgot one thing. Along with the bumps and crowds -- what was that smell you dragged out of the lav? :D

How can you tell when you're booking that it is mid-lav or not? Mid-lav is slighlty larger? Does one has more FC seats?

I know of two ways: in the FC cabin there will be five rows of FC, in the Y cabin the ABC side will start at row 7 and the DEF side will start at row 6 (this is because of the lav.)
