CO Upgrade on Delta..??

I'm travelling from JFK to Nice, FR in June and would like to bring the bride along. Since it's company business, the ~$4000 for my business class seat isn't coming out of my pocket.

But $4K IS a lot of money...

Would anyone know if there is a way I could use my BOATLOAD of CO miles to either buy OR upgrade a Delta coach seat so that the Mrs. could ride alongside me...?

Also, does anyone know why the Delta MILES count toward One Pass Elite, but there are no POINTS - in ANY class..?

Thank you for any/all advice....

You can use 80,000 CO miles for a standard business class reward on Delta to Europe. But there may not be any seats available. Call the Continental International Reward Desk: 1-800-344-1411.

You can't use CO miles to upgrade on Delta.

If you have an Amex Platinum card you can get a buy one get one free business seat on some airlines. Delta does not participate in this but Continental and a bunch of other airlines do. Details here: https://www124.americanexpress.com/c...airprogram.jsp
