Problems with ITN?
Had problems with ITN over past two days looking at availability at link below- get message "processing error". Is it just me?

I suspect that AOW was backdoor-ing the script to use the ITN network as a pass-thru...
think about it... ITN was getting a ton of "traffic" but none of the ad space/impressions... while we are not "buyers" per se of their services, I'm sure that they'd like to drive people to their site to look at their ads... EDIT: you can still use ITN at www.itn.net ... you need to register for the service and then update your profile to "expert" [This message has been edited by EWR-COflyer (edited 04-06-2002).] |
I get an error message when trying to log on with an established name and password.

Looks like it's back up and working. When viewing results, they are the Amex ITN results, not the old aow view. There is also a message when you get to the screen...
Please note that Airlines of the Web no longer utilizes the service of GetThere/ITN for our commercial air booking. We provide this link for the convenience of the Flyertalk Community but do not receive commission for any travel booked utilizing this tool. If you would like to visit our new booking tool, which does not include class availability (yet), but does have some deeply discounted consolidated fares please click here. |
FYI something I have always found *really* helpful with the FLYAOW ITN pass thru is that you can bookmark your flights...
so, just enter you info once and then when you get to the results page add it to your "Favorites" that way you don't have to keep entering the info... also helps to refresh each time you visit the page (F5 is a real easy way of doing that). enjoy http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif [This message has been edited by EWR-COflyer (edited 04-08-2002).] |
These recent problems might be indicative of other problems. I've noticed that ITN hasn't been sorting selected airlines properly, i.e. pick CO and you get a bunch of AA flights. This has been going on for a few weeks.

I noticed this a couple weeks back...... and AA seems to be the airline that always comes up first. Even after tinkering with "show shortest mileage" or sort by departure time on non-AA routes (FLL-ATL), I kept getting AA via DFW instead of Delta or AirTran, or even US Air.
