Headset Coupons
 
I was on a flight to IAH last week and chatted with the FAs while I was waiting for the little boy's room. They were actually folding and ripping out all of the headset coupons from the printed pages that everyone gave to them. Given that this was a 752, there was a huge stack and it took two of them to plow through them. So, if you plan on using one of them in the future try cutting it out after you print it. I am sure your FAs will appreciate one less papercut!

I always cut mine up super neat - I'm anal like that. When I travel with my family and are stuck in the back, the look on a FAs face when I had her 5 to 8 (depends on who I'm with) is nothing but sure appreciation. :D

How about a complimentary adult beverage the next time I am stuck in coach? ;)

Seriously, if the already do not state it, the web developers should put in some verbiage that asks passengers to cut out the coupon rather than bring the entire sheet of paper.

The way the coupon is situated on the page, its asking to be cut accordingly - if you ask me ...

Then again, it is amazing to see home many people do have home computers and printers. Given the packages under $1K, PCs have almost become a commodity.

Continental's still at less than 30% online check-in .. COMON PEOPLE! Use those computers! Check-in online and don't wait in-lin at the airport! Save Continental some money and get your free State of the Art Ear Conforming Headsets!

Right off the bat I have two things to say:

1) I cannot believe you took the time out of your life to type this post.

The heck with this clipping headset coupons so they can fit into envelopes.

Okay Vincent ~ You're really confusing me! However, I had to reply to this post. I'm not your average "coach" passenger but as a NWA silver elite flying continental, I am in coach quite often! I have to say, I print my boarding passes all the time on CO. Once I get to the airport, I check a bag, and reprint my boarding passes. I actually hate those paper boarding passes and I've also had gate agents tell me they feel the same way. BUT~ I never think of cutting out the little coupon for the free headset to give to the FA. I either don't give it to her or I give the coupon to my neighbor. I have too many spare (I know~ I'm weird) headsets from CO at home ready to go. I am going to start cutting out those coupons!

My reference to a "typical coach" passenger is typically not an elite. I'm talking about the other 80% of the flying public who flies once or twice a year. Who doesn't think of thier computer as a venue to check in for thier flight. The person who goes to the airport and doesn't use the self service kiosk because they think they have to wait in line...
