I'm not sure if it's the "Fingerprinting" or the "Gordon's Galley" sign that's more troubling!

"Gordon's Galley." So that's where he cooks up all those lies...

I can't see the sign dbaker is referring to (as for some dumb reason ITYT won't load on either my home, work, or laptop computers anymore ), but I think I know the sign at IAH he's referring to. Gordon's Galley is a cafeteria for CO/Terminal C employees located in the Terminal C basement below the baggage claim level. I went down there once last summer with a friend who worked at the airport. It looks like a standard corporate cafeteria, with kind of a food court setup; the food was decent, but nothing special (although the prices were very inexpensive). Interestingly, despite the signs that say "Continental Employees Only" on the elevator, at that time (this was pre-9/11) you never had to use an ID card to access the elevator to get down there. I don't know if that's changed now or not.

As mentioned, "Gordon's Galley" is the employee cafeteria at IAH.

The fingerprinting requirement is for the mandated background checks on personnel hired before 9/11.

TW1's post made me laugh out loud. If you can't laugh while getting enhanced, then you need a new airline.

The image didn't show up for me at first either. I had to right-click "Show Picture" for some reason. Running IE 6.0 on Windows 2000... The HTML looks okay, but I'm going to venture a guess that the name "IAH_weirdsign.sized.jpg" is throwing it off since it has 2 "extensions".

GORDONS GALLEY is the name of the lunchroom, in the basement at IAH, terminal C.
Good Food, fair prices - - gives IAH employees a place to eat without getting RIPPED by the vendors at the food court.
