Continental IAH tight connection

I am taking a continental flight that connects in IAH with 34 minutes to spare. Continental is calling this a legal connection since it is over 30 minutes.....however, we arrive into C terminal and depart out of E. I don't know IAH at all, but can anyone provide guidance on whether or not this is reasonably possible?

If you get the entire 34 minutes...

I've gone from the furthest reaches of Terminal C to the far corners of Terminal E in just about 10 minutes, aircraft door to aircraft door. I will admit I was seriously sucking wind when I got there, but if you have the entire 34 minutes to work with, you should be OK.

Here's a map of the terminal

I agree ...

Terminal C to E (depending on where from Terminal C) is a nice brisk 10 minute walk. You should have no problem... They also knowyou're coming in froma tight connection and may even hold the flight for you if its delayed or what not - don't worry.

Thanks for the info! The inside information definitely makes me more comfortable with this routing. Now I just have to hope for no weather delays for my flight to Houston...

I have only once had a weather delay at IAH and it was just a brief hold before take off due to a pop up T Storm. You should be fine (knock on wood of course...lol).

Now any checked luggage is a different issue in my experience with under 45 minutes to connect. Indeed, the last two times I have flown IAD-IAH my baggage has mis-connected.... :td:

Hmmm, now missed luggage could definitely pose an issue. I am flying on to Merida, Mexico and Continental doesn't have another flight there from Houston for 3 days! I guess they could route my luggage through Mexico City if it doesn't make the flight, but that will definitely be a pain and who knows where it will end up! I will be sure to pack the carryon with the essentials and then some...
