I am 35 out of 46 eligible flights, or 76%
Upgraded B - 3 I - 1 Q - 5 R - 4 S - 9 T - 5 V - 8 Not I - 1 Q - 3 S - 1 T - 3 U - 1 V - 2 Q and T fares in the "not" category were transcons (ewr-lax; ewr-sea; and ewr-sfo). |
Counting the advance upgrades for the upcoming Labor Day weekend, Saturday morning and Monday evening, will be 44 of 44 IAH to PHL, 2 of 2 IAH to SMF and 2 of 2 IAH to LAX, all on X, W or L - 100%. My wife is 36 of 44, or 80%, missing 4 from IAH to PHL on first flight Monday morning and 4 from IAH to LAX on Fridays - also all on X, W or L. We also have managed standard BF awards IAH and EWR to AMS, connecting to Norway in July and Wednesday before Christmas returning New Years Day (our choice, Monday was available.) The program has been far greater than we ever hoped for, and I do realize our experience is not necessarily typical.

Out of approx 90 flights this year, I have been in coach less then 10 times. Though I'm usually booking very short notice, always domestic, from IAH, and am Plat. The service has been great, though if I traveled internationally I would probably be flying someone else due to CO's poor upgrade policies for international travel, for domestic they are definatly my airline of choice.

As a CO Plat, I have to ask: What is an upgrade?
50% as a CO PLAT internal, 0% battlefield international upgrades 100% as an AA Gold internal, 100% battlefield international upgrades. I wonder who should get my business next year. |
