Web site "ACTIVITY SINCE"...error
I think many of you are experiencing the error with the "Activity Since Your Last Statement" on the OP website. I got a good explanation from a rep this morning and thought I'd share with you guys....
When this scenario happens: you have a flight that posts to your account. The following Thursday, your bonus miles for that flight post. If your statement is generated between the time that your original flight posted and the time that your bonus miles posted, then your account will be "out of balance" within the CO system, and access to the "ACTIVITY SINCE LAST STATEMENT" (ASLS) will be prohibited. It will automatically correct the situation upon generation of your next statement - - providing that the same scenario does not occur upon generation of that statement. They tell me that CO recognizes this problem and it is being worked on, but she could not tell me when it would be fixed. (she said this has been happening ever since they added the ASLS feature was added to the Onepass website. This made sense! Hope they fix it soon. |
Finally a logical 'splanation. I was sick and tired of empty excuses. At least this sounds like they know what they're talkin' about.

Right... so thats the reason I got NO statements for 6 months? AND the button didn't work... or is that a different "bug"?

I don't buy this explanation.
I read somewhere here that putting another OP number that "works" will "trick" the website into working properly. Well, I thought that was ludicrous, except that I couldn't get my recent activity, so I figured, "What the heck?" I went to the OP Web Site and tried to access my recent account activity. Error. Then I put my WIFE'S OP numer and PIN in and accessed her recent activity. Success. Then I simply clicked the "Back" button on the browser and entered my information and signed back in. I didn't expect anything to change, but lo and behold, my recent account activity is there. Makes no sense whatsoever, but I found my way in to my most recent information. WMH |

Once again my recent activity is not accessible. It's really sad that an IT dept at a major corporation can not work out bugs like this. How long has this problem existed... about a year??
Just another "Enhancement" brought to you from the makers of HoKeY and removers of Off-Peak rewards. |
Same here. Looks like as long as you don't ACTUALLY fly it works.
One little thing in CO's defense. I signed up for the ExtraMile promotion. Last time this ASLS problem happened to me was during the double miles promo. I think any elite bonus mileage is calculated automatically. Any one time or extra bonus (I.E. Extra mile) that don't have a promo code attached to them throw the system out of whack. This should rectify itself when the next bonus update run occurs on OP systems (typically Thursday evening). [This message has been edited by joebeenyc (edited 01-22-2002).] |
None of the "work-arounds" listed above worked for me.
After I tried those, I even did it the hard way by delete the cookies directly from c:\windows\cookies. There are about (7) cookies from CO. If you want to see them, go to Start/Find/Files or Folders and look for *continental*.* and *onepass*.* |
The work around that WMH posted works for my account. The information is also up-to-date since my info now has been updated with two new segments which weren't there since it went out of commission two weeks ago. The only problem is that this work around doesn't fix the problem, when I closed my browser and tried to access my info, it gave me the error again. Hopefully CO will fix the problem soon, but I won't hold my breath.
