Upgrading on Hawaiian (CO Partner)

I'm going to HNL on January 3 via CO, then will be doing some island hopping over the next two weeks before returning. Does anyone know what the policies are regarding upgrading CO elites (I'm platinum) on Hawaiian Air? 1) Does HA have a first class cabin for inter-island flights? 2) Do they honor CO elite status as a means to upgrade? 3) Should I even worry about it on a 25 minute flight?

1) Yes, there is a first-class cabin on interisland flights.

2) No Elite upgrades, if that's what you mean.

3) Worrying about first-class on a 25-minute flight? Then you should be worried! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

ETOPS01 or anyone else,

Do you know if possible to even get OnePass miles if one were to fly on HA from mainland to Hawaii and/or using OnePass miles to upgrade that flight?

You get OnePass miles on HA for *interisland* flights only.

Actually I don't think that is universally true anymore. CO now codeshares the SFO-HNL flight with HA, and I'm pretty sure you can get OP miles on that.

Do you know when the codesharing started? I couldn't pull up itinaries/prices on CO's website or Orbitz.

I just checked the electronic timetable... the only valid CO flights from SFO/HNL are:
1) via IAH for CO metal only (12:55am departure)
2) via MSP for NW metal [CO code share] (also 12:55am departure)

now, that being said, there may be a way to get miles OP on HA, but CO does not appear recognize HA as a code-share partner for those legs...

FYI I have also found the Electronic Timetable to not be 100% accurate... but, on the flip-side I've found countless numbers of flights in the eTimetable but not available from CO, or the CO website... just as an example, there's an EVA flight from SEA direct to EWR on a 747... the eTimetable has listed it as a codeshare, but CO can't book it... I just checked and I can't find it anymore, but it has been there before...

Well, the only info I have (and there was a thread on this maybe a month or two ago) is that (i) it was announced publicly by Onepass, and (ii) when I recently called to book a flight, the elite line agent did offer to sell me a Hawaiian flight SFO HNL, and told me it was a code share and I could get miles. I have never tried to pull up on the web site.

Maybe try calling and talking to them? I'm pretty sure this exists, at least they announced publicly so it should you would think.
