Northwest and EUA GRRRRRRR!!!!!!
Just got off the phone with OnePass. According to OnePass though everything was done properly, NW just didn't process my EUA for my trip to PDX this weekend. Had to be done manually, and I was told to call back tomorrow to process the return. just another shining example of "seamless service"...
Only got one of two segments, BTW. P9 F0 CLE-MSP right now, but the MSP-PDX leg was no problem... ------------------ All Hail Mighty Oregon! GO DUCKS GO! |
At least you got an upgrade. Been on a number of CO flights as a NW Plat to not get one...and although I can't prove it on paper, I know it was because good CO was upgrading their Golds and Silvers before me.
I think that CO's service is far superior to NW in many respects. But I think there is still a suspicion of NW Elites with a distinct preference for CO Elites. |
Unfortunatly Andrew, I think it works both ways. My own experience with NW agents and upgrades hasn't been that good either. That's why I called the Priority Line. Can't really blame either airline for protecting their own first...

duxfan and anyone else with relevant knowledge,
In cases like this, where I want to (try and) make sure that I am properly considered for upgrade on NW, is it acceptable for me to call the OP Elite line for help even when ticketed on NW for NW metal? Or in those cases do I just get to call the NW reservations line (I have no NW elite status)? TIA! |
It wouldn't hurt to call NW to make sure they can see your elite status on their record.

Its not that big of a deal guys. Just call NW after the EUA was supposed to run to check if you were upgraded. If you weren't call Onepass and tell them to manually do it - and they will.

In the grand scheme of things, it really isn't a big deal. That being said... When CO changed from the old "call us for an upgrade" system to EUA, we as customers were told that this would eliminate our having to make the call. It is a big deal in the that the product CO told us was better is not. The system doesn't work as promised, it does not add value for the customer, or the CO employee. You can bet that staffing in res was cut, and some of that cut was credited to the new EUA system. So the CO res agents are working harder than ever, because the system doesn't work as promised. |

Mine are all booked thru my travel agent, and I can see the reservations. Very nice feature. When I saw that I had not been upgraded, I then checked availability and saw F seats, so I knew I had been missed. I then called the OnePass priority line, and they apologized and took care of it for me. ------------------ All Hail Mighty Oregon! GO DUCKS GO! |
