First Class Upgrade Notification
As my post count indicates, I'm new here. I am Silver, and will be Gold next month. I find the first class upgrade lottery to be addictive fun, but I'm tired of calling the Elite desk and asking if I have been upgraded. Under the "EAU" procedure I think I should be getting e-mails, but I have not for any of my 3 upgrades so far. I have discovered that if one has booked the ticket through the OnePass website, the virtual ticket is altered to change the seat number to the new first class seat number if one has been upgraded (pretty cool).
But, what if you booked your flight through a travel agent or you don't want to mess around with the OnePass site? Is there a site where you can enter your OnePass number and see the current, UPDATED state of your seating? Thank you. [This message has been edited by Joey (edited 11-26-2001).] |

Thank you very much, Mr. Redneck. By the way, would you know why there is an Astrisk * next to my seat number (upgraded to 1st class). Thanks again.
|
Make sure that the onepass site has your email address.
The "*" always seems to be there and it seems that you can safely ignore it.

I have been able to successfully import my itineraries that are on paper tickets, and view the (changed) seat #s when EUA goes through.

Well I've solved the * mystery. Since all of us have an * next to our seat assignment, and all of us frequent FlyerTalk, Continental is obviously tracking us FlyerTalk members. QED.

Yes, dbaker, OnePass does have my e-mail address as I receive OnePass online ticket purchase confirmations immediatly after I buy the ticket on-line (but that's all I ever hear from them). By the way, cool website. Thank you for the flight status utility.

You're right, dbaker, OnePass did not have my e-mail address, but e-tickets did. Sheesh!
By the way, since I have been having no clue as to WHEN I have been getting upgraded, just to clearify, The Plat, Gold, Silver rule is 5, 3 and 1 days before the flight as of MIDNIGHT (12:01 actually?) of that day. So if a flight leaves on Thursday the upgrades could be as early as 12:01 AM on the preceeding Sat(Plat), Mon(Gold), and Wed (Silver), respectively. Correct? |
Yeah, it's another example of Continental's very poor IT department.
You've got the dates right. Good luck with your EUA! ------------------ daniel baker -- [email protected] Flyertalk down? Reliable, Fast forums at ITYT. |
