Scaled back service on redeye?
Forgive me, it's been a long time since I could afford/schedule a SAN-EWR nonstop http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
With all the discussion re: cutbacks in meals in F, I was wondering if anyone had taken the redeye from SAN-EWR lately, and if so, is there even the "cold noodle snack plate" anymore? I've noticed more and more (on other airlines, and on shorter late-nite CO flights) that you're lucky to get a stale old bag of peanuts sometimes. I'm taking this flight tomorrow and am wondering. |
No offense intended, and I know itsa silly to ask but, why would one spend an elapsed 1.5-2.0 hr awaiting and eating an airline meal on a 5.1 hr flight. I prefer to slurp of nice quick ones prior to take-off and awake somewhere over Ohio. Sleeping is still the best way to fly (especially on red-eyes}.
BTW, I will be doing this exact flight in about a month. MisterNice |
Some of us are nite owls, MisterNice.
I took PHX-EWR red-eye in mid-June. Got the shrinp-and-chicken (with feta-ish pasta) cold plate. One of my favorite CO offerings. |

Hey now, MisterNice,
-I don't drink -I can't sleep on planes those are the two biggies http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif My work schedule is quite tight tomorrow, so I think the plane will be the first opportunity for me to eat dinner. (I know, sad, isn't it.) I would like to avoid being an uncouth heathen who grabs something from CPK express @ SAN... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif |
Perhaps he was referring to Feta Cheese???
