123 bonus not credited

Back in November I was flying with a coworker to Italy for vacation. He mentioned the 123 international promotion. He said it was targeted, and not for everyone. I called up to see if I was eligible. I asked to have my account targeted. I was told that if I didn't receive the promotion, I wasn't eligible. She looked at my account and told me I was already signed up for it. Based on this information, I took a flight to Amsterdam in February, and Hong Kong in March for the miles bonus. I never got credit for the double and triple bonuses. I called up and was told I was never signed up for the promotion. I received from other bonuses 96,000 miles for the Hong Kong trip. Since it was my 3rd international trip, I should have gotten 48,000 additional bonus miles. I know I should be happy I received the other bonuses, but I took the flight under the impression I was getting the other 48,000 miles. Should I say anything or just forget about it?

This is a tough situation to be in. You really have no prrof that you were elligible and probably don't know the name of the person who said you were.
In situations like this, its always a good idea to ask for email confirmation and save it. I had just the opposite happen one year when I received the 123 promotion in the mail. When I didn't get the miles credited, I called and was told I was not elligible. OPSC could not believe that I received the offer and it wasn't in their computer.I had to send them the original promo mailer and only then did they credit the miles. This should never happen.
Continental is seriously screwed up when it comes to transmitting information to OnePass members. Neither my wife or I has ever been informed of the EUA program, nor have we ever gotten the card that announced the end of the 50% e-ticket bonus. It seems like one division of CO decides, based on some formula, who does and who does not get a promotion, then passes this to another section who is supposed to do the notification. This is where the whole system falls apart. They really need help.
Sorry to say you may be out of luck.

Thanks for the response Vulcan. If it weren't for your posts with the other mileage bonuses, I would have been really upset about not getting the miles.
