If you search for EWR-TLV on 3/5 (as platinum)
It shows up green (standard Y/J), but neither flight is selectable as standard in BF.... |

Thanks for the info. [No, I didn't call and report this - I did once send an email about it.] |
My Tokyo flight shows me adding a day instead of subtracting a day when I return. There is a big warning saying I am returning to Houston on the 11th and my connecting flight leaves IAH on the 10th... WOW talk about a close connection. I just might miss that one..
I called the elite desk and they said they knew their were problems going on.. |

We'll see what happens, bring it up again in Houston! |
I noticed that if you use the "View Seats" feature, and then take a peek to see how the load is in front of the curtain  , you can't switch back to see the seatmap for the economy section. :o

However, if you have been ticketed - you can only view seats in your class of service (or upgrade class of service). Thus you need to step through an incomplete new booking process to be able to toggle between class seat maps. This replaces the old (discontinued) seatmap.com or FLYAOW seat maps - and much easier - and you are in CO's computers. This was a great feature - keeps folks from booking bogus flights then cancel. |
cova baby, I'm stuck in F and I ain't even bought the ticket!

Would it be possible to have the new listing of the fare class with the old layout? The new layout is really unattractive and much harder to read than the old one. I don't see any real advantages to it and what little was added to the new flight listing screen could have easily been incorporated into the old layout.

The booking code entry is a nice start. However, it is a bit brittle and often results in The cabin and the class of service entered are not compatible. Please change the cabin or class of service entered.
Suggestion: instead of requiring the user to enter booking codes, why not have an advanced display option along the lines of "Display available booking codes with flights"? When flights are brought up, the user could have the option for each segment to select the fare class from among what is available. If the user selects D and then T, so be it and let it price it out subject to an official fare rule calculation. After all, if a customer called CO and insisted, s/he could probably get someone on the other end to price a D/T itinerary. |
Example: How continental.com sucks
My apologies to pananna, who is putting a lot of effort into informing us and trying to relay our feedback, but hasn't been around here long enough to know why we all cringe whenever we see the word "enhancement"
Family obligations require me to make an appearance in Savannah in June, so I go to continental.com to check reward availability. What do you know, only 5 days in June and 2 in July have standard reward availability, only on Tuesday and Wednesday, not the days I want to travel, of course. :td: I go over to nwa.com and do the same search and find standard rewards available on Sky Team partner Delta in both Y and F on my preferred travel dates!!!!!, not to mention Continental flights avalible as SleazyPass rewards at 50,000 NonePass® miles. OK, I gotta decide, do I wanna go Delta economy or first for 25,000 or 45,000, or endure 4,000 miles in an ExpressJet ERJ for 50,000........,lemmie think for a millisecond or two......OK, I called the friendly Continental agent and booked the Delta flights in F. What am I gonna do with all those NonePass® miles anyway. p.s. Over on nwa.com I noticed that WorldPerks is now offering "Guaranteed Upgrades" to Platinum Elites, who will get a 1,000 mile bonus every time they don't get upgraded! That and a website that actually helps you find options to use 'em. :) |
