Positive space upgrade - update
 

This is to update my post from several weeks ago.
These certs are for one segment each, and they are capacity controlled (I've had a couple possibilities 'locked out.')
They are NOT valid on codeshares, so there goes my SCL-PTY hope.
"... valid only on CO to destinations within the mainland United States, Alaska, Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America." Of course valid for upgrade to F/C only (or LAtin America 'business class').
So my new question - as CO Platinum, are they any improvement over waiting for an auto-upgrade? Even if I'm at 66 % success w EVA, chances are that I would use the cert for a flight that I would have been upgraded anyway!
Well, I guess I'll save them (but not too long), and use them for a trans-con trip, even if its a route I've had high success with in the past.
Sigh, just when I thought I was getting a real nice deal from Customer Care. (For Silver or below, these would be an excellent item!).

Motnot, http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/redface.gif We will use them by end of Dec, I hope (since they are "subject to availability" - whatever that means nowadays), so I MUST avoid you only for the rest of the year! Also, we do tend to get a bit overblowing on this board (at least some of us), don't we?
