Getting EQMs for Delta Flight
I booked flights for my wife and I from CLE to BCN (through ATL) on Delta in July. I got a good deal on the flights - $2170/flight in F.
This issue is that I booked the flights on the Delta website, where I could not enter our Onepass #'s during the booking process. I figured that I would do that later, maybe even at checkin. CO says on its website that we can get 150% EQMs for any Delta F flights. The reason for this post is that I just heard that to get CO EQMs for Delta flights, I had to enter our Onepass numbers at the time of booking. Does anyone know if that is true? Did I miss the boat for CO EQMs? I will call the Delta support number provided on the CO website and fight the fight, but I would like some advice/ammunition before doing so. Also, the ATL-BCN and BCN-ATL legs are I class tickets. Does anyone know if these qualify for the 50% bonus? Thanks in advance for your help. |
Welcome to FT, SlickRick.
Just call Delta with the confirmation number(s) and have them put the Onepass number in. It doesn't matter when you put the number in, as long as it's in the system before you fly. But hold onto your boarding passes, so just in case the EQMs don't show up, you can send them to CO to get credit. Both F (domestic first) and I (discounted international business class) count as 150% EQMs with Onepass. See http://www.continental.com/onepass/e...line/delta.asp |
If you forget to call or don't want to be on hold, you can always input your frequent flyer mile when you check-in at Delta's self-service KIOSK. Actually even if you have already checked in, you can still input your Continental Onepass number on the flight and reprint your boarding pass (I did that). My miles showed up a couple of days later.

I am flying EWR-LAX-SFO-EWR on DL next week. When i went to book online, I saw that it didnt let me enter my onepass number, so I just called and made the reservation over the phone. You will be fine if you give your ff number to the gate agent when you check in. If you are still concerned, just call the delta reservations number and tell them you want to credit your miles to your onepass account.

Thanks everyone. I'll try to give Delta a call tonight, but I see from your replies that urgency is not needed.
On a related note, can anyone offer a comparison of Delta F and Continental F? Domestic versus International? Thanks again in advance. SR |
Neither CO nor DL offer F internationally. Its all their business/first hybrid (J)
From most of what I've heard, DL's is significantly inferior to CO's. I have flown BF a few times and it is quite nice. |
