HP + TWA Codeshare, OP miles?
 

Well this makes things really interesting:
"As part of the agreement, America West and TWA will accept bookings beginning in first quarter 2001 on more than 500 flights operated by both airlines."

Is this the end of the CO+HP relationship?
I think not, HP provides CO too much access to the west coast. But, TW is another carrier that will provide access to east coast cities. This may be an early knell for the HP/CO relationship.

HP ticket on TW metal = OP miles?
I bet this is handled like the NW/KL issue.
Ticket on HP= OP miles.

If your primary program is OP I suggest the following:

HP tkt= OP credit
TW tkt= FF credit (redeem on CO,NW,HP,TW)

The codeshare agreement may be a day late and a dollar short for TWA if fuel prices stay up where they are now, there's only so long that you can keep loosing money without any assets to sell.

after my ordeal at the cto at grand central last thursday, i got some dope on this from on of the co agents. aparently, hp didn't even notify co of this stance. they just chose not to renew the contract. they then went to ewr and hired all new staffing for ticketing and reservations, once again not informing co. these new people (which the agent says are all under 21) were then sent itno the field UNTRAINED. they encountered so many problems, hp then had to do a deal with co, to supervise and train their new staff during this transition period.

unbelievable. maybe they want to be the vulture surrounding tw when it kicks, but there have got to be better ways to do this.
