Comp to Hyatt Diamond Level
The other day I received in the mail, a complimentary Diamond (higest level) card from Hyatt "in recognition of you Continental Airlines OnePass Platinum Elite membership status." It requires 3 stays by Feb 28, 2001 to validate it thru Feb 28, 2002.Note that I haven't stayed in a Hyatt in years.
It seems like an incredible deal. Have others received this promotion? |
Ed, sounds like a great deal.
I wonder how much money Continental made selling your name to Hyatt? |
Vulcan, I received that offer yesterday, haven't digested it yet. I only want to do one program, and am quite happy as Hilton Gold, but I will give it a hard look. Too bad I didn't get it a coupe weeks earlier, just stayed at Hyatt first time in MANY years. Will go over and check out the Hyatt messages soon.

The letter that accompanied the card had BOTH Hyatt and Continental Airlines OnePass logos on it.
Zip: Look hard at the benfits. It appears to be the equivalent of Starwood Platinum or Hitlon Top tier rather than Hilton Gold. It looks like the Hotel chain comp wars have begun. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif [This message has been edited by Vulcan (edited 11-04-2000).] |

"David, you're getting to be as bad with Continental as Doc is with NW"
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif Maybe not quite! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif Yet I DO feel that I have VERY good reason, more so than David with CO, to be quite UPSET with NWA - although I've been RATHER restrained in my criticisms! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif |

I would have to agree with Boomer.
Doc, you have been anything but restrained. Many of us are tired of reading your "Witty" comments regarding NW! |
With my stay at Paris Las Vegas week after next, I will be Hilton Diamond for this year and next.
So I'm quite happy with my choice of hotels (who's loyalty marketing team has NEVER failed to reply to an e-mail and who always makes me feel like I made the correct choice to be loyal). I'm not planning to be in the rag-on-Continental business as long as Doc has been upset with NWA. If they finally hear me and respond, it'll be over. If they do not, I'll do my utmost to make sure they loose the business from the people they've hurt, but I'll just do that as an elite on another airline. I stayed at a Hyatt last weekend as a Platinum. Got nothing without a 'certificate'!
I hope they do better with their Diamonds!! ------------------ SeniorGoldElite It is never too late to have a HAPPY CHILDHOOD!BEEP! BEEP! |
I'm just glad NJDavid is not a Hyatt elite! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

The Hyatt Diamond offer came to my wife who is also CO Platinum but who has never had a Gold Passport number. I have had a GP# for many years and did not get the offer.

As I current Diamond, I never received this!Yet when Ed mentioned this incredible offer at the FT dinner the other night just prior to his post, I admittedly was rather shocked! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/eek.gif
My wife didn't get the offer either, however. Not so far at least! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif |
Seems like a nice deal. The 3 stays is a clever "stinger" tho! ------------------ ~ Glen ~ |
