When do miles post?
 

I flew EWR-LAX on Friday morning and that should put me into Gold. As of today (7/4) those miles still haven't shown up and I'm still showing as Silver. Is that unusual?

I plan to travel EWR-TLV in mid August and want to upgrade to BF. The Elite desk agent told me to wait till I actually get the Gold posted before I request the upgrade otherwise I'll remain a Silver in the waitlist and have less of a chance to clear. That sounds strange (not to mention unfair) does anyone know if she's right?

Love2travel, the answer two your first question is 2-3 weekdays. I had the exact same thing happen over a holiday weekend. I would wait until thursday and see if it posts. If not call CO on friday.
In regards to your second question, since you are new (welcome aboard by the way)I'll cut you some slack. The international upgades (or lack of) is the most talked about thing on this board. EVERY SINGLE WEEK WE REHASH THE SAME WRONG INFO AND THOUGHTS!!! I have taken it on myself to fine abusers of this topic $1 (since i'm full of hot air and smoke! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif ) Since you are new, may I suggest you go back and read some of the Int'l upgade treads. You can find them at about every fourth or fifth topic! Just look down the page. You can also use the search function to find HUNDREDS of them. Bottom line, you will learn, there is no real answer it's random chance mixed with voodoo.

ozstamps, It means that loves2travel was upgraded to first class complimentry four out of four flights flown. It's simply a fraction (100%). On international flights that is unreal! Keep the dollar, when I ever get to OZ buy me a beer. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
