Need advice on Business class
I will fly CO from EWR to LIM to start part II of my million mile run. My flight departs EWR @ 11:00PM, but I plan to arrive at 7:00PM to allow for Avis return, check in, etc. Does CO have an elite lounge at EWR ? Will my business class award ticket get me in ? The Diners club lounge closes at 7:00PM. Thanks, Bob

The Presidents club at EWR let me in with my BizFirst LGW-SDF ticket via EWR. They had a notice by the door saying that BizFirst international passengers were admitted. I would definetly try it. Good Luck http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

No problem, Schultzee, I booked a BusinessFirst award ticket for a friend's 60th birthday last year, and got that confirmed with CO, It's possible that a club agent doesn't know the rules, if you have any problem have them check.
Enjoy your million mile run! |
Thanks !

How can the agent at the PClub tell if you are on an award or not if you already checked in? If you show them your boarding pass, it doesn't say anything about fare paid.
You should definitely have no problem. |
If you are on an international flight, the type of ticket is irrelevant provided you are booked in BF, and you can use the Presidents club. This also includes upgrades to BF (or UpperClass on Virgin) and at Newark you also have the opportunity of using Virgin's lounge if going to LGW - that lounge is awesome...play computer games, listen to CD's, watch a movie...great place to spend couple of hours).
They also let upgrades use the arrivals facility at Gatwick. The bigger problem is when on the way into the US you connect and want to use the lounge - unlike UA which lets you use their clubs and gives their foreign PremExec elites one year comp membership - CO tend not to let you in unless you have those comp vouchers or pay. When there is a delay I have been allowed in though. |
What is this Million Mile Run?

Pitbull has it right - if you've got a BF international ticket, that gets you in.
A Diners Club cardholder can get into the Northwest WorldClub at Terminal B. But the PClub at Terminal C is much nicer, not to mention bigger. |
I remember seeing a sign at a Pres Club once that said same-day BusinessFirst passengers were welcomed into the club.
