Hey student, welcome aboard and thank you for your post. It is very valuable to me, to the tune of at least 5,000 miles per week, and that's only for 1 RT. If I make 2 RT's, then it's 10,000 miles per week. WHOA! Nelly, that's a whole herd of miles in a week!!!

Does this include the OPTIMA card and Corporate American Express? I have had events where other specials have been published and could not get them with my OPTIMA or Corporate.

Let me know if you have an answer.

If your credit card is issued by American Express Centurion Bank, it counts. No matter if it's Starwood, Delta, Platinum, Optima, Regular, Gold, WHATEVER - as long as AMEX issues it, you qualify.

Great offer! Thanks for the heads up!

American Express just ran an deal - apply for an Amex card and get 20,000 Delta SkyMiles after the first time you use it. I applied - figured the miles were worth the $75 yearly fee. I should be getting my card any day now. This CO offer will work nicely with the new card.

BTW does anyone know if CO's offer is good for one time only or for as often as you buy tickets in the dates it's good for? The web site does not list this restriction.

Also, what about one ways? Could you book two one way tickets and get 8,000 miles?

Is there a limit on number fo tickets, or, if fly every week and charge with Amex you will earn 3,000 bonus miles per week?

Sound like a good deal to me!

OMNI WARNING!

Tute ~ I'm not sure about this, but I believe only Optima cards are issued by "Centurion Bank" since they are actually credit cards unlike the standard AMEX cards, but I could be wrong about that ...

Beckles... AMEX Optima cards are credit cards issued by AMEX's own "credit card" bank known as American Express Centurion Bank. Centurion's sole purpose in life is to issue and manage Optima credit card accounts, thus separating AMEX's pay-in-full-when-the bill-is-due travel and entertainment card business. No passbook savings, no checking accounts (unless you want a cash advance out of your line of credit)... and no tellers!

I think you're right, Beckles. Anyway, if you have a credit card that has a blue AMEX logo on it when you turn it over, then it counts.

OK, I checked with the OnePass Service Center this morning. They said you can use the offer as many times as you want through September 15, and get 3K miles each time.

The offer applies to both one way and round trip tickets.

This is going to lead to some incredible mileage earning opportunities such as a trip I have coming up:

SFO-CLE-HPN-CLE HPN 5,322 miles
x125% Platinum Elite bonus: 11,974 miles
+ 8K booked on-line as 2 one-ways: 19,974 miles
+ Delta SkyMiles earned for the cost of the ticket (for AmEx card) - total > 20,000 miles.

Better than the good old days back in the 80's when we got triple miles for every flight for a while.
