All hail webflyer!

Hot from the MilesLink Newsletter from Web Flyer:

"We don't want to take all your time in this email to talk about the Continental/Northwest Alliance because you can read all about in InsideFlyer on webflyer.com. However, there's something not many do know: we weren't pleased with the idea that Continental OnePass wasn't offering any chance that Gold Elite members could earn Platinum for next year in their new program, like the Silver and Bronze people did. We went to politicking behind the scenes and are now proud to tell you first that OnePass will now make all earned Gold Elite members Platinum for next year. One more reason why you need to qualify for this level before the end of the year."

Web Flyer was not the only one fighting for this. Members (such as myself) have been writing to CO expressing their concerns.

CO was not going to be distinguishing between those of us who were Silver and upgraded to Gold and those of us that flew out butts off and actually earned Gold. Now that the Golds have been upgraded to Platinum, I think it is fair.

What does Inside Flyer think about alliances? Has there been a change of heart?

Great news! Especially since, if I interpreted the Northwest bulletin correctly, the close-out for earning your status changed from the end of February 1999 to the end of December 1998. I really wanted to be one of the "charter Platinum members," but no way to do it by end of December. 50,000 miles, yes, but 75,000 miles, no way.

Now it looks as if it might happen.

A gold star and a smiley face sticker to Web Flyer!!

Oops! Talk about egg on your face. That was for Continental OnePass members, not Northwest WorldPerks members. I misread the post.

Drat! Not only embarrassed, but have had hopes dashed.

Oh, well...

Looks like roberto has been taking english lessons--his (her?) spelling has improved dramatically.

Naw, naw. That was my mistake, BlondeBomber. Check out my post under The Buzz.

I saw last night that someone had changed roberto's profile with a clue as to the new password. I went in this morning and guessed right about the new one, then changed it back to the old one. Then I went to the CO forum and made a post. Well, Web Flyer will automatically fill in your username and password for you, as you know. Since I'd just been editing roberto, it lougged that in for me. I changed it to mine before submitting it.

BUT THEN, I saw that the discussion was about CO, not NW and I quickly posted a correction. Then went to The Buzz and made the roberto post, again changing the plugged-in name and password to my own.

Until your post, though, I never considered that the second time, the Web Flyer software would have again placed roberto's name and password on that second CO post.

Sorry 'bout all the confusion. I think I need to start this day all over again!

correction to prev. post..."again changing the plugged-in name and password to my own" should have read "then changing the plugged-in name..."

hnechets - my head is spinning...

This a BIG error by the folks at WebFlyer!!! Please see my post for those of us that REALLY qualify for Patinum. There is now NO
appreciation/recognition for the MOST FREQUENT CO fliers.
