So, write to them and note that you are not a discount flyer and ask them to review your account.

Finally what I was looking for. Someone who has had this experience. Still have a few months before the year is up, but I'll try to revive this thread once the new year starts to let everyone know my experience.

Good Luck, nothing worse than being a 40k + silver!!!

About 6 or 7 years ago, I was 1,700 miles short of gold, and CO did not give me gold, even though I respectfully asked. Sometimes I wonder, though,
why I've consistently given them my business (I've been Platinum for the last 5 years). This year, I've just qualified for Gold and continue toward Platinum.

I requalified for Platinum in the first quarter--5 overseas trips. I'm now at 149,203 miles and climbing.

Sad...just damn sad. My wife (I'm married...I think...) calls me the Phantom Husband. One more trip and she'll be the Phantom Ex-Wife at the divorce court.

I disagree. I'm a lowly silver and am thankful for it. I get upgraded 50-70% and have always been able to get standard rewards.

Remember, if they give it to you without earning it, it ain't worth much.

There are 6 guys in my office , 2 that have not flown in 18 months that were comped Silver, you'll get it, but if you're looking for more than the blue carpet and an occasional UG on a leisure route, you'll be disappointed.

I am currently silver and knock on wood haven't seen a coach seat in almost 2 years. No complaints here.

I am currently silver, and have seen 1 FC seat during 1 segment in my last 4 RT flights. It all depends on the route and time you are traveling. That is why I really want to get bumped up to gold before the end of the year!

Thats why I avoid the routes that are hard to upgrade. Almost always a way to get the ug.

Hard to avoid when you live in Hoboken and commute to Cleveland every week! Unless I want to start connecting.

True I would make the connection myself. Not to mention the infestation of RJ at CLE. I would rather make a connect in DTW on the 9er.
