Deciphering ITN codes

Hi all,
I'm taking CO 751 this Friday, 7/23/04. Wondering what my chances for a Silver Elite upgrades are. Here's what ITN says: Cabin class: A4 D4 Z4 F0 Y0 H0 K0 N0 B0 V0 U0 Q0 I0 S0. The way I understand it, is that there are 4 open seats up front, but will I not be upgraded b/c F=0?
I am flying on a 'U' Fare. Thanks for the help as I try to learn this software!

Since your question is about Continental's fare classes and upgrade procedures, I'm going to move it to the Continental forum for best/most informed response.

CO ITN codes

Gleff - thanks for moving me to the right forum, I now know where to post this kind of Q for next time!

What it means is that coach is completely sold out and there are at least 4 open seats in First. Could be more than 4. Right now there are no F seats available so no one will get an "Elite upgrade". F seats are gradually released if not sold for revenue.

Chances for Silver depend on the number of Golds and Plats that were not upgraded yet as there are no F seats available.

Look in another thread discussed today on this board about the check-in process and it's effect on upgrading.

Remember elite upgrade seats come from an R class which is hidden on ITN. You don't know what R is but you can decipher what it is based on the number of F seats (which is now zero).

On a very full flight with silver and not a very high fare class, the chances don't look so good, but you never know.

ITN is unreliable for CO inventory.

This is the only tool I've found that is real-time for CO flights: http://www.optimalmove.com/flyertalk/galileo.html

I still do not get how you get the Cabin Class stats from ITN.. All I see is the description of the flight..

You need to be logged into expert mode to see fare class availability. Use this link ( http://flyaow.com/classamex.htm ) which will do that for you automatically.

I would say you have little to no chance of getting an upgrade...

Just my opinion though...

I agree... Just checked-in online, and no upgrade. Not holding my breath for the upgrade stand-by list either (there are only 1-2 seats available upfront...)
At least I have those cool luggage tags, isn't that worth something?
:D

Hey, don't forget the blue carpet!!! (, unless of course your gate area has had its blue carpet moved elsewhere...) :)
