CO To Appear In A FT Chat
... no, the sky isn't falling... ;)
Was browsing through the ORP Forum and came across this thread on re-starting moderated chats... hadn't seen any postings here about it, so I thought I'd pass it along...

Thanks for asking and we have plans to include several mid-day (for European programs) and mid-night (for Asian programs) as well. Thanks for the question - what timing. Amazing what we can get done when the kids are all right. |
Will be interesting

They'll Cancel
Just like every other previously scheduled chat, I'm sure CO will come up with some excuse and cancel at the last moment.
|
IF they DO actually have it please express my regrets on not attending the chat....you see since my business wasn't good enough for them to continue making me elite I've decided to jump ship over to the red tail
CO Elite (one more year) by flying NWA! NWA Elite beginning 7/6/04 (according to NWA.com) |
I'll believe it when I see it. CO doesn't deserve to appear in a FT Chat. Odds are they will weasel out of this one as well.

You guys should be a little more polite. Last time FT had some techinical problems with the link. It wasn't CO's fault. And you should be realistic. If all you do is complain about about EQm's and etc. nothing will be gained. If it were me, I'd ask about things that they might improve, and make well thought out suggestions.
|
I'd actually be very interested in hearing what CO has to say regarding their EQM structure and an upcoming welcome into the SkyTeam alliance (perhaps). Thanks for the tip re: a possible CO appearance in FT chat.
aloha |
As usual cigarman is correct. The EQM issue will only be resolved by competive market forces and not by constant complaining. CO has far more information on the effect of their changes then we do so we'll just have to wait for compition to work its wonders.
If we could work on a reasonable international upgrade system or return to a life time status after xxxxxxx miles I think it would be positive for everybody. It would give a reason to keep our callused backsides in the seats looking forward to the great pleasures of BF. So lets keep it positive. |
Let's give Continental the benefit of the doubt, after they chicken out again we can go about bashing 'em as if nothin' happened. :D
|
It may really happen!
Looks more and more like it may happen....
From BA chat announcement... Join us as we kick off the Fall/Winter schedule of FlyerTalk Live! hosted web chats (October's special guests will be executives of Continental's OnePass program). K |
Just posted this am...
Coming Up: Thursday October 28, 2004 - 6:00 pm ET (Duration: 60 minutes) With: Mark Sullivan (Managing Director Loyalty Marketing, Continental Airlines ) Mark Bergsrud (Vice President Marketing Programs and Distribution, Continental Airlines ) Victor Llana (Manager OnePass Programs, Continental Airlines ) |
I agree with cigarman. If you want to be negative, then that's about all you'll get.
Negative posts should only be in politics... :D |
there is no need to be negative, however i would like to see some hard questions asked and answered, not just the usual feel good ones. this applies to all chats, not just this airline. just my 2 cents.

Fair is fair and FT had the technical problem last time. Straight from one of the participants mouth to my ears.
