2/29 CO FLT 1717 EWR-SFO
I am a PLAT/1K, waitlisted on an SWU for FC.
#1 on waitlist from olci to deaparture. FC booked 15/16
At the 3 hour mark, I receive an alert from expertflyer that an R/RN seat opened up.
I check the pda site, I am still #1, but now FC is book full.
It stayed full, never gotthe UG.

The list you see is only used at the gate. The automated EUA system uses a different hierarchy formula which can cause the order of that list to be different than the one you see online.

I understand that...when i ran the final waitlist, it did not show anyone had been upgraded.
Does that sound like a buyup?

Sounds like typical CO/UA. Try doing that at your retail store with a pair of Nike's and you'd get your throat slit

It could have been a paid passenger switching from another flight. Lots of paid F on that route.

When this happened to me @ IAH several months back and 4 passengers trumped me when I was #1 on the list, I was informed that all 4 of them were buy-up's!

I'll believe anything anymore, as I don't get the "NEW COMBINED" airline nomenclature.

I'm just along for the ride until I figure this stuff out???
