*G Lounge Access: CO miles, Virgin flights, LHR-NYC
Hello,
I'm United PremEx (*Gold), using CO miles to fly LHR->NYC in economy on Virgin metal. The CO mileage booking process and their confirmation e-mail has me on CO code-share flight numbers, although the Virgin system has me being on "native" Virgin flight numbers, and I suspect this is how the boarding passes will look. Question: will my *Gold card get me into the LHR Star Alliance lounge? Virgin Atlantic isn't a star alliance member, but I am (or at least was initially) booked on CO flight numbers. Thanks! The LHR Star Alliance lounge is in Terminal 1, however the Virgin flight will depart from Terminal 3. Therefore they probably won't even let you through security in T1 - or even if they do, you face a trek back to T3.

To use a *A lounge as a *G you have to be departing on a *A flight—metal, not code. Even if he could physically get to the *A LHR lounge, I don't think they'd let him in.
