Original Routing Credit from Other *A Airline?

I booked a trip on US that I was to credit to OnePass. The original trip was AAA-PHL-BBB but was switched by US to AAA-CLT-BBB. I got credit, of course, for the latter (AAA-CLT-BBB) on OnePass, but the itinerary I booked would have gotten me more miles.

Can I ask OnePass for original routing credit, or would that only apply if I were flying UA/CO?

Thanks!

what was the reason for the changed rerouting?

CO OP usually has been very unwilling to do ORC. And in this case the original travel was not UA/CO, I would not have high hopes.
