Thanks

If you have global entry, maybe but probably not. Otherwise, no.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like much safer just to book a later connection.

Also, I was not aware that LH is (or will be) operating the A380 FRA-IAH. Usually this flight is operated with a 744.....

As an aside, I suggested to the creators of ITA one time that their website would have a really cool feature not found anywhere else if they could provide a %success rate (via self-reporting of others) to go along with the itineraries they provide. If I knew an airport had a MCT of 1 hour but only a 5% chance of making that connection I would probably think twice about booking it. Just a thought.

Well, I guess that begs the question, what is a safe connection at that time of day - 2 hours? 3 hours?

One of the challenges at IAH is that all the flights from Europe usually arrive at around the same time which can make for an interesting and crowded situation in the U.S. customs hall. But once you clear customs and then security, a quick trip on the above ground people mover (the TerminaLink) will get you over to your COEx connecting flight in Terminal B in a couple of minutes.

Even a very crowded time on a busy travel day at IAH customs is like a normal occurrence at JFK or other busy International gateway.
