The method reduced my 90 minutes waiting time to only 8. So it can work - worth giving a try, I guess...

10 minutes and holding on the Global Services line. This has never happened to me before.

UPDATE: Total wait time was 19 minutes.

That's ridiculous. The new UA, based on CO principles.

Many of us waited over an hour trying to get through to CO last weekend, or weren't even able to get through (there's a nice series of posts in another thread discussing it). It happens, believe it or not.

That sucks - were you calling the right number? ;) I did note that it was my experience.

Yup - 15 minute call, hung up just in case I dialed wrong, then a 45 minute call. No voice prompts, all keypad. :)

emcsweeney will verify this, as I challenged him to call in as he too had never waited more than ~2 min, and even he gave up after 20 minutes

Unreal. I hate to say it, but that does sound like a sound of things to come. I know there was a crazy storm out West, but even then, an hour for a GS/1K is unreal.

I was on hold 19 minutes today before the PPlat line picked up.

During that time the last seat that could have gotten me home with less than a 24 hour delay (on any carrier) sold. I will end up making it home 24 hours late (assuming no further delays or cancelations through SEA just after midnight Sat).
