FlyerTalk Awards: Continental Airlines OnePass (Americas) benefits nominations

This poll will determine which benefit for this rewards program will appear on the January ballot for the FlyerTalk Awards.

Please note that once you have cast a poll vote, it cannot be changed.

If you have a suggestion for a name change for one of the benefits listed, according to your specific knowledge of the program, post it below; for instance, if this program’s “Bonus Points” benefit has a specific name, that specificity will help voters when ballots come out in January.

You may vote in any or all of the nominations polls across FlyerTalk. Simply navigate to your favorite program’s forum and cast your vote!

Polls open Monday November 28, 2011
Polls close Friday December 9, 2011

Happy nominating!

Silver can reserve E+ at time of booking! ^

Sadly a benefit that is going away.

I'm going to say that I love CO's Same-Day Change policy (which is very flexible in actual practice). It almost makes up for the fact they charge change fees to elites, unlike Alaska, which waives change fees for MVP Golds and higher, and has truly revolutionized the way I look at booking travel.

I travel far more and spend far more money with Alaska now that I am not afraid to book a ticket when my plans are not yet firm--other carriers would do well to investigate this, since with them, I just end up not booking and then not traveling at all.

But I digress--my experience with CO's relatively less restrictive SDC policy (in conjunction with other benefits, of course) is enough to make me consider them for future travel. ^

That skirts the line between general program and specific touted "benefit," but it's better to be inclusive I believe -- so I'm adding it unless there are objections

Thanks jackal.

Thanks jackal.
Specifically, CO waives the fee for Plats, which makes it an elite benefit. It's not really workable in the way that I enjoyed it if you have to pay for it.

Flexible Same-Day Change policy

IMO: The Continental process is unmatched.

As a 44 week per year flyer/business traveler, I frequently myself with demand to stay at client an additional day, or having completed work can get home on late Thursday night versus Friday.

The Continental process is extremely user friendly.

As far as I am concerned this process must remain; and is the key component to keep me with UA/CO future state.

As a very frequent traveller, this facility is awesome.
