Looks like the Turkish Airlines lounge is the one in Madrid designated for club members.

Link to all lounges affiliated with UA/CO:

I was in MAD in February and there did not appear to be any lounge in the same terminal as departing CO flights. At least none that I could find. The only lounge listed on the PC website was in a different terminal with different security access.

The only *A lounge is the JK lounge in T-2. I think T 1-2-3 are all connected airside, but I could be wrong on that.

Here is a great link for *A lounges. http://www.staralliance.com/en/benef...lounge-finder/

There is a lounge in the same termainal as departing CO flights, it is the Sala VIP Cibeles (Contract Lounge). You need to be *Gold or BF passenger to have access.

I've used the Spanair lounge. It's just a nice place to sit, with some alcohol, soft drinks, olives, chips, and a view of the airfield. Nothing (at all) to write home about (kind of like Spanair itself ;) ).

thanks all

guess won't be using the lounge since I will have more than 1 with me

As mentioned, you have a choice of the JK lounge in T2 and the contracted lounge mentioned above. Both are connected airside, and the contracted lounge is within the Schengen zone IIRC. JK is nicer to sit in, the other one has more (not better) food/snacks.

Either way, nothing to write home about, and no showers in either.

Spanair sounds the same as contract lounge

I was in the contract lounge yesterday, if you go there remember to ask for an invite when you check in cuz they won't let you in on ticket and *G status alone. The CO, DL, and US gates were about 5 to 10 minute walk from the lounge. The contract lounge sounds just like the description above, the good thing being lots of seating, but not having much in terms of beverages and only a few snacks like nuts and olives.
