EasyPass redemption

I'm trying to book an EasyPass award flight but want a specific routing. Any tips on calling in to request a specific routing? (I'm trying to end up on one of the BusinessFirst-configured transcons.)

I could also transfer to Mileage Plus if that'd be easier.

What tips do you need? If the flights are available and the routing is not completely ridiculous then just call and book it.

And remember that there are no guarantees of the BF config domestically; swaps happen some times.

Thanks for the tip; I got what I needed, but had to call a few times to find a cooperative agent. I am booking for departure in a few days and won't be heartbroken if an equip. swap happens.

Why doesn't Continental market their BF transcon service ala FlAAgship Experience, Delta BE, United p.s., etc.? They have the equipment in position and might as well get paid for it, but it's bookable with cheap H/Z fares.

CO transcons do not feature BF service although they may be operated with BF configured aircraft, such as the 752.

CO treats EWR-LAX, -SFO, -SEA, etc. just like any other domestic flight, although the food may be a bit better in the front cabin.

This situation has been discussed at length here on FT.

If the OP had given us details, we might've found a better way to use miles. (If it's a transcon, then maybe p.s. service would've been better).

Because they actually do not have the equipment in place and do not offer the seats on the vast majority of the transcons.

What? UA doesn't offer deep discount fares on their transcons?

This is purely insulting. Guess they think we are stupid.

How do people put up with this?
