Use Flex EQM's now, then BIS to hit 100K

I'm in a position now with 67K Elite miles, and planned travel for 20-25K more by end of the year. I'm really not worried about hitting Platinum again but may not hit 1K. I know Flex EQM's are only to get you up to Plat, but what would be the consensus of blowing 5000 Flex EQM's NOW to hit 75K, then earn the rest via flying so I'm at 100,000 by end of the year???

It hasn't been announced, but I'd assume that once OnePass goes away in January, than if I do 100K miles on CO in 2011 they'd consider me 1K in 2012.

Thoughts???

Of course you'd be 1k. I flew over 1:cool::cool:k CO EQM last year and when I matched my status over to UA a couple of months ago I received a 1k card.

If you want to do it, you need to do it this year - it's been made clear that won't work next year
