Using CR on Continental codeshare UA metal?

If I want to upgrade someone flying a Continental codeshare flight on UA metal, do I need United CR or Continental CR (is there such a thing?)

Once that is answer, where can I get United/Continental CRs :D

You can't upgrade a code share on United metal until the day of the flight at the airport. You could use a CR1 at that time..it would have to be a United CR1. It's never a good idea to book code shares if you want to upgrade.

On UA metal.

On CO metal it doesn't matter so much unless you're talking about the *A upgrade program. If you are using CO-issued instruments they don't care the booking code. Hopefully that survives the merger.
